Power Girl Weekend in June 2010

OK. Blogging is not my favorite thing to do - and I can't understand how to even get the words on this darn thing and someone has put some crazy music on here.

But at least I can say that my favorite girls and their moms (and other aunt) came to visit in June. We had a wild weekend.

We ate (some of us) Burmese food at my favorite Mandalay. We froze our you know what's off on Angel island ferry and island tour (boy it was cold). We took in the art exhibit at the De Young Museum - direct from the Muse d-Orsay in Paris.

We went to Haight.
The girls were not fond of Haight Ashbury- even though I tried to give them the straight scoop on the colorful history of the Summer of Love in 1967. Those were the days but guess you had to be there!!! Which I was. But these days the Haight is sort of funky full of strange people

.

We had brunch at the Cliff House - as you can see if was foggy most of the weekend!
It cleared up only after everyone left. Isn't that just the way.

Power Girl News

We are having a big power girl party end of June. Everyone is coming to San Francisco to celebrate. As Allie is almost 17 and will be of to college before you know it, this might be that last real chance to get together. Unless I can talk all the parents into letting me take the girls to Africa next summer. I presist with that notion - can't think of anything more fun that showing my family and friends this amazing country. Speaking of - I just sent out a press release of our volunteer tour that is coming up in September. Am getting some good press coverage out of it. Here is the first one: (how lame is this - I can't figure out how to post a link - I should call Aunt Kellie -she knows this stuff).
